Modernization of Moolai Co-operative Hospital

This noble institution was founded in 1935 by Dr K.Kanagarayar, who was born in Moolai. It endeavors to cherish and foster the noblest ideals on which it was founded, to strive to provide holistic and high-quality care. Moolai hospital takes the pride to be the first non-profit co-operative hospital in all of Southeast Asia.

MCH Modernized building Opening Ceremony

After the severe damage due to the civil war Dr.S.Rajasundarm and The Medical Institute of Tamil Doctors UK came forward to commence the redevelopment program and started the project by commissioning a master plan by a leading architect who suggested a three-phase development to modernize the hospital.

The opening ceremony of MCH Phase of the main building was held at the hospital on Sunday, January 20, 2019. MCH officially celebrated the grand opening ceremony of its newly renovated primary care with a ribbon cutting and name unveiling ceremony. Dr.S. Rajasundaram and Mrs Maharani Rajasundaram officiated the ceremony and plaque unveiling for the new facilities.

The Chief guest for the Opening Ceremony was Dr. Sittambalam Rajasundaram, Mrs.Maharani Rajasundram, and the president of Medical Institute of Tamil Doctors, U.K, Dr.M. Logendran. The opening ceremony was attended by an overflowing crowd
